This explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and how to make us delete it. It is written to be read rather than to be survived.
Who we are
AImaginist Studio, Kerala, India. We are the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described here under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023.
Pending: registered legal entity name, registered address and GST number are added here before launch.
What we collect, and why
Only what you give us through the brief form at /start: your name, company, WhatsApp number, optional email, country, what you told us about your project, any reference links, and how you heard about us.
We collect it for one purpose — to reply to your enquiry and discuss the project. We do not sell it, we do not use it to build advertising profiles, and we do not send marketing to it.
We also record the time you gave consent, because the law requires us to be able to show it.
Analytics
We use Plausible, which is privacy-preserving by design: it sets no cookies, collects no personal data, and does not track you across sites. That is why this site has no cookie banner — there is nothing to ask you about.
Our only contact channel is WhatsApp. When you message us, that conversation is handled by WhatsApp under Meta’s own terms and privacy policy, which we do not control. We keep our copy of the conversation for as long as the enquiry is live, and for two years afterwards.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become projects: two years from your last message, then deleted. Client project records: seven years, because tax and contract law require it.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what we hold about you
- correct anything that is wrong
- delete it
- withdraw your consent, at any time, without giving a reason
Email hello@aimaginist.studio and we will action it within thirty days. That address exists for this purpose and for the grievance contact below; it is not a sales channel.
Grievance contact
Sahaya Rex, Founder & Creative Director — hello@aimaginist.studio. If we have not resolved your complaint, you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.
If something goes wrong
If personal data we hold is exposed, we will notify the Data Protection Board and every affected person without undue delay, describe what happened and what we are doing about it, and tell you what you should do.
If you are in the EU or UK
Our lawful basis is legitimate interest for replying to a business enquiry you initiated, and consent for keeping your details afterwards. You have the rights above plus the right to object and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
Files you upload
Decks and reference files attached to a brief are stored in object storage, not in our database, behind signed links that expire. They are deleted on the same schedule as the enquiry they belong to.
Changes
If we change this, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes are flagged in your next conversation with us rather than published quietly.
